Unifying Lesson Principle: Some people tend toward work, while others tend toward rest. Why should we strive to balance work and rest? As Christians, we are instructed to value both fasting and feasting as well as working and resting.
By the end of this lesson, you will be able to 1. Identify common themes in Jesus’ challenges to traditional practices such as fasting and Sabbath keeping. 2. Value fasting and feasting, as well as work and rest. and 3. Model a balanced life-between fasting and feasting, working and resting- and advocate for others to have the freedom to do the same.
