Keep in Mind: “And I said unto the, Ye are holy unto the LORD; the vessels are holy also; and the silver and the gold are a freewill offering unto the LORD God of your fathers” (Ezra 8:28, KJV).

By the end of this lesson, we will: KNOW that as an act of worship, we should be willing to give generously of our time and talents to the Lord; FEEL that we should give to the Lord; and GIVE to the Lord.

In today’s lesson, we see how Ezra prepared gifts of precious metals that were to be carried by the priests and the Levites to the House of God.

Keep in Mind: “So we fasted and besought our God for this: and he was intreated of us” (Ezra 8:23, KJV).

By the end of this lesson, we will: KNOW that believers can fast and pray for God’s help in dire situations; DESIRE to fast and pray; and PLAN to fast and pray in times of need.

Today’s lesson discusses how fasting and praying can move God to action in dire situations.

Keep in Mind: “And the children of Israel, the priests, and the Levites, and the rest of the children of the captivity, kept the dedication of this house of God with joy” (Ezra 6:16, KJV).

By the end of this lesson, we will: UNDERSTAND that we should celebrate with joy what God has done in our lives; DESIRE to celebrate God’s blessings with joy; and CELEBRATE God’s blessings with joy.

In today’s lesson, we will study how the Children of Israel celebrated the successful rebuilding and dedication of God’s Temple just in time for Passover.

Keep in Mind: “And they sang together by course in praising and giving thanks unto the LORD; because he is good, for his mercy endureth for ever toward Israel. And all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the LORD, because the foundation of the house of the LORD was laid” (Ezra 3:11, KJV).

By the end of this lesson, we will: KNOW that we should find joy in restoration; FEEL joy in restoration; and PRAISE God for restoration.

God’s Word promises that He would cause us to triumph in His name and bring us to a place of victory. In today’s lesson, we will read how God uses Jeshua, the Levitical priests, and Zerubbabel, the governor of Jerusalem, to restore the Temple of God after returning from exile in Babylon.

Keep in Mind: “They kept also the feast of tabernacles, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings by number, according to the custom, as the duty of every day required” (Ezra 3:4, KJV).

By the end of this lesson, we will: KNOW that we should celebrate and express thanks to God for His goodness; DESIRE to praise God for His goodness; and PRAISE God for His goodness.

Today’s lesson is about how we as believers should ask God to Help us maintain joyful worship of God, who is worthy to be praised.
