I’m Down But Not Out

Lamentations 3:16-26
I’m Down But Not Out

God will be with us through thick and thin and will love us no matter how bad we are, but we need to follow his every direction so we don’t have to experience his tough love. Don’t let God have to put you through pain and suffering to get you to understand what he wants you to do because he doesn’t enjoy hurting you, he loves you so much he willing to do anything to get you back no matter what.
God does not have to send you through hell and back to get you to realize what he trying to tell you. God tells us to do things but some of us are so stubborn that we rather do the complete opposite then what he says, but those things lead to punishment because you decide not to listen. God has all his children attached to him no matter what, so you can walk miles away from God but he can just tug you right back to him. We don’t need to fall away from God because any other path is the wrong way. We will always have God on our side we just need to be on his side.
God loves us with all his heart. Everyone commits a sin in there everyday life, and with every sin we stray further from God’s light, but he stays exactly where he is so we can come back to him anytime. But with sin comes consequences, and it can be from simply hurting your toe, to a cut in the skin, to a fatal injury. God might punish us, but in the end if we are on his side we don’t have to worry about going through any type of pain anymore. God has done much for us to show his love for us and will continue to show us love.
God will always love us until the end of time, so let’s continue to follow his path of light and goodwill. God has and will always love, so let’s not put him or yourself through any type of pain.

How Will This Be?

From a Child Prospective By Mackenzie Ware, 12 years old. ( This is what she received from Sunday message in her own words. )

Luke 1:26-35
How Will This Be?

We question the opportunities given to us, but if God has chosen you to do something don’t question it just do it. We have all asked “how will this be”, but you don’t have to ask this question if you believe in God he will just open the doors for you
Everyone has asked the question, how will this be, or will ask this question in some point of there life. When you don’t have enough money to pay for college tuition, when you get fired from a job, even when you become bankrupt and your about to loose you house you ask the question “how will this be”. When something happens in your life you either list the things you can’t do or the things you think you can’t. Let’s take Mary for example; she was pregnant but she was a virgin, so she looked up to God asked how will this be. She questioned everything at that moment, she knew it was real and was going to happen, but she didn’t know why God chose her.
If we believe, God will give you opportunities you thought you’d never have. God does his work through us, but he does it with people willing to do it. If he gives you something to do then you need to do it because it is for a good reason. God never makes mistakes so if you are chosen by him then you know it’s for a good reason. Adding on to that we already owe him so much because he got us through school, got us through our weak moments, got us through the hate from our enemies, he has gotten us through anything we could get through by ourselves. We can’t get through our whole life without any help, and that’s why God is always by your side, so if you need a shoulder to lean on lean on his, if you need a person to talk to talk to him, if you just need someone to be by you because you feel alone you have GOD by your side, and he will be there at all time.
God has a purpose for us all, so when God gives you your purpose you need to fulfill it. Don’t doubt the opportunities God provides you because everything that happens to you happened for a reason. In conclusion, believe in God so we don’t have to ask…”How Will This Be?”.

Rev Wayne Croomes Farewell Message

My beloved brothers and sisters of Zion Missionary Baptist Church:

In June of 2017, my pastor, Dr. Michael A. Evans of the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church of Mansfield, Texas, contacted me and asked me if I would travel to Dallas and provide “pulpit supply” for a church who felt it necessary to separate from its current pastor. I consented.
I will never forget the crisp, hot Sunday morning in June when I walked onto the campus of Zion.
Although I never anticipated my time with Zion would be some two and a half years, it has been one of the most formative periods in my life. I would like to say to each of you “Thank you” for the honor and privilege of serving as your interim pastor for this appointed time. I have grown both personally and professionally, but most of all, I have grown in my relationship with the Lord!

In our time together, we have made great strides. We inaugurated conferences for our men’s, women’s and youth annual days; we welcomed at least ten new or returning members; we relaunched new member orientation; we made great strides in our audio/video ministry and we baptized one member!

My most joyous accomplishment was in seeing our Youth Praise Mime and Dance ministry taking off under the able auspices of Sisters Sonja Wright and Wylonia Johnson! What a blessing!

I am grateful for the leadership of Zion for entrusting pulpit responsibilities to me.
And now, as I prepare to hand over permanent duties to the Pastor-Elect, Rev. Gerald Mitchell, I implore each of you to, in the words of Paul, “be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.” (I Corinthians 15:58 NKJV)
Zion is, and will continue to be, a faith community of extraordinary people of extraordinary faith living in an extraordinary time serving an EXTRAORDINARY God!
I am excited about what God is doing at ZMBC and I know that Pastor-Elect Mitchell is just as excited and ready to do great things at Zion with God’s blessings!
Zion is poised and postured for great success in building God’s kingdom on earth.

I look forward to joining you for worship and praise this Sunday, December 8, 2019 for my farewell message Sunday!
Yours in Christ,

Rev. Wayne E. Croomes, Interim Pastor

Are We Ready To Stand On God’s Grace?

From a Child Prospective By Mackenzie Ware, 12 years old. ( This is what she received from Sunday message in her own words. )

2 Timothy 2:1-2
Are We Ready To Stand On God’s Grace?

The pain inflicted in us is there for a reason, and we just need God’s Grace to get rid of it. We can’t love without God’s grace, and sometimes we have wanted God to take away a pain we’ve had but he doesn’t.
We have asked God many times to remove pain from our chest and mind. There is always something causing you pain, and when you ask God to remove it he says no, but he isn’t doing this to hurt you he is doing it to help you. He won’t just sit there and let you suffer, so he will give you something to deflect the cause of your pain because God shows you Grace. God’s grace is the best thing to have because knowing that he believes in you should give you courage to move on.
